The homeowner does a lot of baking with her children and wanted to be able to put cookie trays directly on the island...so a beautiful “fantasy brown” granite was used on the island and the perimeter countertops are quartz.
Two backsplash materials provide a stunning focal point at the range.
The introduction of an island instead of the peninsula in the original kitchen gave us room for a @sharphomeusa drawer, as well as a beverage refrigerator.
Honey bronze hardware from @topknobs adds a glam touch and works beautifully with the brushed bronze accents on the matte white GE Cafe Series appliances.
The sink, which previously faced the corner, was replaced with a larger farmhouse sink and located more symmetrically under a new casement window.
The open concept was further achieved by removing existing tile floors and feathering in white oak to match the adjacent dining and living room, which created one open space
